Suspect Arrested - Millpond Avenue, Hayle - Assault

Good afternoon,

This message is just to update you about the recent assaults on Millpond Avenue, Hayle, which occurred on 05/08/2025.

A suspect has been arrested and interviewed under caution in relation to this incident. While further enquiries are still ongoing, the suspect has been given bail conditions not to attend the area this incident occurred.

Making an early arrest in incidents like this helps to send a message to those engaging in anti-social and criminal behaviour in the area, that they will be dealt with robustly and that we will not tolerate this behaviour in our communities.

Thank you again to everyone who helped with my request for information about the owners of the property. I have now spoken to the owners, they are taking steps to secure the site which should also help to prevent any further incidents.

If you witness anything taking place at any time, remember - If a crime is in progress or someone is in danger, please call 999. If you are reporting an incident that has already taken place, or the incident is non-urgent, then call 101 or report on the Devon and Cornwall Police Website.

You may see PC Ellie SHERBURN (Hayle NBM) and myself around Hayle and St Erth this evening, we will be conducting targeted anti-social behaviour patrols in the area.

Thanks again,

PC Jack Combellack

Carbis Bay & Lelant NBM
